Visit our winery, including transfers for small groups from the south of Tenerife and enjoy our local wines and products.

  TOUR

  • 11:00h Pick up in Playa de las Américas: Hotel Mediterranean Palace and Plaza del Duque Shopping Centre.
  • Transfer to Bodegas Monje in El Sauzal.
  • 12:30h Guided tour to Bodegas Monje-El Sauzal, with commented tasting of three wines and lunch with Canarian Hog Roast..
  • 16:00h Return to the pick-up points.
  • Small groups, maximum 8 people. Languages: English and Spanish.

  • You can choose as an “extra” our Mojo Workshop (+12€/person) with lunch which also includes the Hog Roast Menu.

  • In case of not reaching the minimum number of reservations (4 people), the tour may be cancelled, we will inform you 24 hours before and, in that case, you can choose another day or we will refund the amount paid.

❌ CANCELLATION POLICY
  • All cancellations made with more than 48 hours from the reservation date will be refunded with 100% of the amount, if it is less than 48 hours from the reservation date there will be no refund.
  • Due to weather conditions or force majeure circumstances, the activity may be cancelled, in which case the date will be changed or the amount paid will be refunded.

Guided tour to the winery.

Guided tour to the vineyards in Spanish/English for approximately 60 minutes.

Tasting of 3 wines.

Commented tasting of three of our volcanic wines so you get to learn the philosophy and style of Monje Family’s winemaking process.

Pork Shoulder Menu

This has been the house specialty for 25 years. We roast the hog very slowly in our wood-fired oven to keep all the flavour of the local meat.

Hog Roast “Cochino Negro” Menu

Both include:

Freshly baked bread with a selection of spreads (Watercress butter, Spiced goats cheese, chorizo Palmero).

Watercress soup with a garnish of gofio, cheese and onion.

The roast meat* comes with sweet vegetables, green mojo with almonds, wrinkled potatoes and a lettuce and onion salad dressed with Monje Macho vinegar.

Desert: Canarian cream with Hollera Jam. This menu includes coffee or tea and three glasses of young wine.

*As an alternative to meat, this part could be substituted for a fish or vegetable dish depending on the requirements of the client.


* Mojo Workshop with lunch (Option +12€)

Learn and have fun participating in a “Mojo Pícon and Canarian Potatoes” workshop. This sauce is typical to the Canary Islands and can be red or green; made using coriander, parsley or pumpkin. Our chef will guide you through the steps so that you can achieve the best flavor while making one of the seven gastronomic marvels of Spain.

Freshly baked bread with a selection of spreads (Watercress butter, spiced goats cheese and chorizo Palmero) and thinly sliced cheese on toasted bread followed by shoulder of hog roast cooked in our firewood oven * accompanied by sweet vegetables, almond mojo, wrinkled potatoes and a lettuce and onion salad dressed in Monje Macho vinegar.

Desert: Quesillo with Lemon (lemon-flavored Canarian flan). This menu includes coffee or tea and three glasses of young wine.
